Manager, Business Systems Req 15225 (Hiring Manager – Amy Kleinberg, ext. 7030)
Overview
Tiffany & Co. is currently seeking a Manager, Business Systems which will support order management, Sales Service and Customer Service applications. The primary purpose of this position is to ensure that systems and processes align to business and user needs. The position manages the comprehensive System Development Life Cycle process including process analysis, requirements gathering, solution design and implementation and some financial aspects of projects, which contribute to the improvement and standardization of business processes through new and improved applications.
Responsibilities
The Manager, Business Systems will manage the process of gathering and documenting functional requirements as well as conceptualizing and identifying solutions that meet business needs and align with IT strategy and direction. He/She will oversee the formal planning, tracking, and reporting on project status and ensure that systems and services support the strategic vision of the business as well as daily business operations. Responsibilities will also include managing the process of communicating functional requirements to development and testing teams and supporting the testing team during QA and implementation.
The Manager will develop direct reports through the performance management process and ongoing coaching and career discussions while ensuring that direct reports maintain a strong understanding of key practices, standards, policies and regulatory requirements and acts in accordance with them. This role will foster and facilitate the collaboration of staff in cross-functional activities and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
To be qualified for this position you must have a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Business Management. Additionally, qualified candidates must have 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in Information Technology management as a Business Analyst with 3 to 5 years experience in managing complex systems or processes and overseeing formal planning, tracking, and reporting on project and staff performance. Experience working with Senior IT leadership in a strategic context and experience in retail, eCommerce, order management and/or customer service is required.
This position requires strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with demonstrated knowledge and experience in application SDLC processes and methodologies. Experience managing complex, cross-functional projects for web-based applications and in-depth knowledge of requirements gathering is required.
