Manager, Business Systems & Development Req 14991 (Hiring Manager – Maureen Stivale, ext. 7058)
Tiffany & Co. is currently seeking a Manager, Business Systems Development supporting Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) – PeopleSoft HCM application and associated systems. The primary purpose of this position is to ensure that systems and processes align to business needs. This position manages the specifications, development and implementation of Information Technology projects and will lead a team of direct reports. This position will also manage financial aspects of projects that contribute to the improvement and standardization of the technology, infrastructure and/or systems.
Responsibilities
The Manager, Business Systems Development will ensure that systems and services support the daily business operations and maintenance of hardware, software and applications. He/She will participate in identifying solutions that meet business requirements and are in line with IT strategy and direction. Additionally, this position will manage the process of creating, implementing, and continuously enhancing systems to meet current and future business and system requirements.
As a Manager, this position will develop direct reports through the performance management process and ongoing coaching and career discussions while ensuring that direct reports maintain a strong understanding of all key practices, standards, policies and regulatory requirements and acts in accordance with them. This role will foster and facilitate the collaboration of staff in cross-functional activities and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
To be qualified for this position, you must possess a college degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science or Business Management with 5 to 7 years of progressive Management experience in Information Technology and experience overseeing formal planning, tracking, and reporting on project and staff performance. Expertise in the PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) v9.1 system, specifically Human Resources, North American Payroll, Benefits and all Self-Service modules. Specific technical skills are outlined below:
HCM v 9.x experience required, including HR, Benefits, Payroll and Self Service.
PeopleTools v 8.50 or higher.
MS SQL Server 2008 preferred.
SQR, SQL, Application Engine, Component Interface, PS Query, Integration Broker, Crystal Reports, Application Packages.
PeopleSoft COBOL experience strongly preferred.
Qualified candidate will need the demonstrated ability to lead a technical team in all aspects of the SDLC including post implementation support. In depth knowledge of architectures, monitoring, security control, backup, recovery and application system design and experience working with Senior IT leadership in a strategic context is a plus. Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills is required.
